UNDER THE SEA/FUN IN THE SUN

Como trabajo de inspiración he decidido hacer una tarjeta con una preciosa imagen (en escala de grises) llamada "Rose Mermaid" (Sirena Rosa) que podéis encontrar AQUÍ como parte de un set.

As inspiration project I´ve decided to make a simple card with a beautiful imagen (grayscale) called "Rose Mermaid" that can be found HERE as a set.

Colorear en escala de grises es mucho más fácil que en un sello en blanco y negro, ya que todo el trabajo de luces y sombreado lo ha hecho ya la ilustradora, por lo que es muy recomendable para todas aquellas personas que estén comenzando en este mundo o que tengan alguna dificultad visual o de otro tipo, o porque, sencillamente se quiera ir más rápido.

Choosing to colour a grayscale image is much more easy than a clear image because all the lights and shadows work is already made for the illustrator, so I think is highly recomended for every one who is starting in the colouring world, or has  vision problems or, simply because something more quickly made is desired.

He utilizado rotuladores Copic y algo de Polychromos para marcar más los coloretes.

I´ve coloured the image with Copic markers and some Faber-Castell Polychromos for the cheeks.

La estructura y el diseño de la tarjeta es bastante sencilla: Una vez terminada de colorear la imagen, monté el panel sobre tres cartulinas texturizadas a juego con las combinaciones de colores de los Copic:verde, aqua y rojo.
As I was saying, both the structure and the design are simple: Once I finished colouring the mermaid, I placed the panel on top of three textured cardstocks matching the color combinations of the colouring with them.
Sobre la blanca de la tarjeta (hecha con papel de acuarela), coloqué otro papel de acuarela entintado con Distress y sobre el que después apliqué agua con polvos Perfect Pearls.
The card base is a white water colour paper, and on top of this another one inked with Distress and mixed with water and blue Perfect Pearls.
I stamped two clear stamps (one is the corner stamp you see on the right top corner, the other one is to give some texture to the background).
I used a Spellbinders background die for the die cut you see under the image.
The next thing I made was to glue the image and some shells on top and a layer of Stickles (Rangers).
Two paper roses and a metallic anchor.
At the right side, a beautiful seahorse  die cut, some sequins and the sentiment (friends for life) from Amelie Stamps.
