Caja de Navidad para chocolatinas/Christmas chocolate box (Conie Fong´s GDT)

Comenzamos el mes de Noviembre con ganas de Navidad en los proyectos ¿a que sí? Empezamos a ver preciosos sellos, colecciones de papeles... Y yo tengo la suerte de seguir siendo durante unos meses diseñadora invitada para Conie Fong, que cuenta con unas imágenes navideñas preciosas y muy tiernas.
November has just begun and Christmas time is so close you almost can smell the pudding in the air, along with the new stamps and paper collections... And I´m lucky enough to be a Guest Designer for Conie Fong, so I can create with her beautiful and tender images.

Para el primer proyecto de noviembre he decido hacer una cajita para chocolatinas con tema navideño, ¡claro!

For my first creation in November, I have decided to make a little box for chocolate bars, a Christmas box, it is.

En cuanto a la estructura de la cajita, la he hecho con dos cartulinas texturizadas de distintas tonalidades de gris y la inestimable ayuda de mi Envelope Punch Board.

Regarding the structure of the little box, it´s made with the priceless help of my Envelope Punch Board.

Una vez le coges el tranquillo a las medidas es muy fácil de hacer y el acabado es estupendo: Las cartulinas están cortadas a ocho y siete octavos de pulgada  (la base ) y a nueve pulgadas (la tapa).

Se troquela y se pliega la base según las medidas del sobre de 4 y medio por 6  y medio (a 3 y tres cuartos), pero sabiendo que la caja va a tener unas medidas inferiores (porque no es plana). La tapa tiene las mismas medidas pero añadidas a todas un octavo de pulgada. 

Once you learn the trick to the measurements is easy to make and the outcome is a box sturdy enough for the weight of several chocolate bars: Both the base and the top are made with textured grey cardstock cut at 8 and 7/8 inches the first and 9 inches for the top.

You have to punch and fold the base according to the measurements for the 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 envelope, but being aware that the box is going to be smaller because it´s not flat. Then, follow the same measurements but adding 1/8 for the top.

Una vez troquelado y marcado todo como para hacer el sobre, vuelves a troquelar y a marcar a una pulgada más el lado corto y a una pulgada menos el lado largo (de modo que tienes dos "valles" a cada lado).

After punching and folding like if you were making an enveloope, punch and fold again one more inch at the smallest sides and one inch less at the largest sides, so you get like "two valleys" for each side.

Ya sólo se trata de cortar las pestañas por los triángulos grandes, plegar y pegar los triángulos ¡ya se! Es bastante más fácil si lo veis y en youtube hay algunos tutoriales muy majos, en su día me animaré a hacer uno yo.

Now you only have to cut the folding tabs of the largest triangles, fold and glue all of the four triangles...I know! It´s easy if you can watch a how to video and there are some great tutorials at Youtube, I will record my own one day.

El fondo de la base lo he forrado con papel de terciopelo y en cuanto a la tapa....

The base is lined in the inside with black velvet paper.

 La imagen está coloreada con rotuladores Copic, con la siguientes combinaciones:
The image is coloured with Copic markers with the next combos:

-Piel/Skin: V20,E93,E11,E21,E00

-Cabello/hair:Y21,Y23,YR24,E99

-Rosas/pinks:RV34,RV32,RV13,RV11

-Grises/greys: W5,W3,W1

-Azules/blues:B91,B93,B95, B97

-Joy/joy word:G03,G02,G05, Stickles de Ranger dorado (Golden Stickles by Ranger)

Fondo/background:B60,blender,BV70,BG01, tinta Distress (tumbled glass)/Distress Ink (tumbled glass)

 Una vez coloreada la imagen, apliqué polvos de embossing Stampendous Frantage (sueltos y fundiendo con la pistola de calor por detrás), así como pasta de nieve de la marca Amelie de Orita a los pies de nuestra chica.
Once the image was coloured, I applied embossing powders Stamppendous Frantage (with no ink and the heat tool used at the back of the panel), besides, some snow paste from Amelie Orita at our girl´s feet.
Esta misma pasta de nieve la apliqué a través de un stencil de copos de nieve en el papel decorado que podéis ver que está encima de la tapa.
This very same snow paste is applied through a snow flake stencil on the decorated paper that you can see placed on the top box.
El panel con la imagen lo recorté al tamaño deseado y lo coloqué debajo de una cartulina texturizada del mismo tono que la tapa de la caja, que tiene en sus cuatro lados una cinta rosa con topitos blanca.
Entre el papel decorado de la tapa y la cartulina gris del panel, unas lentejuelas azules y un whasi tape azul purpurina.
The panel with the image is placed on top of a grey textured carstock (the same one of the box) and I placed pink with white dots ribbon on all sides.
Between the decorated paper and the grey cardstock of the panel, some blue sequins and a blue glittered washi tape.

El último detalle, además de rellenar la caja con los Kinder maxi (que les encanta a mis hijas) fue coocar un botón con forma de estrella ( con pistola termofusible) con un Merry Christmas escrito y Stickles de Ranger dorado.
The final touches were, of course the chocolate bars (my kids love these Kinder Maxi) and a star shape button with a Merry Christmas in which I have applied golden Stickles.

Creo que eso todo, recordaros que en el grupo de Facebook de Conie Fong hay un reto mensual de coloreado y otro de un proyecto terminado
I think that would be all, remind you that at Conie´s Fong Facebook group there are some current colouring and creation challenges.
