Ching Chou Kuik: Ivy mermaid

Ha comenzado nuevo reto en el blog de Ching Chou Kuik, con el tema: BAJO EL MAR.

Para mi primer trabajo de inspiración, he hecho una tarjeta, coloreando con Copic una preciosa imagen llamada "Ivy Mermaid", que podéis encontrar junto con otras dos en el set "Under the sea 3".

A new challenge has just started at Ching Chou Kuik´s challenge blog, which theme is: UNDER THE SEA.

For my first inspiration project for this month, I´ve used a beautiful image coloured with Copic markers called "Ivy Mermaid" that can be found in the set "Under the sea 3" along with other two images.

Se trata de unas imágenes hechas con escala de grises, es decir, que ya están sombreadas por la ilustradora. Normalmente no trabajo este tipo de imágenes, porque no me puedo quitar de la cabeza la idea de que "estoy haciendo trampa", ya veis que el resultado es increíble y con  mínimo esfuerzo por parte de quien colorea. Pero como no está disponible de otra manera y me enamoré de la sirena...Pues ¡hala! "trampitas" al canto.

Ivy mermaid is a grayscale digital stamp, very easy to colour with a fantastic outcome, so easy, I´ve always thought is like cheating, but I couldn´t find the line art, and I really wanted to colour her, so "cheating" it is.

El papel decorado se trata de la colección de Graphic 45 "Voyage beneath the sea", de donde he sacado esos impresionantes caballitos de mar que he colocado a cada lado de la imagen de la sirena, formando las tres un tríptico, gracias también a los tonos similares.

The decorated paper is from  the Graphic 45 collection "Voyage beneath the sea", the great seahorses I've placed on both sides, like a triptych, belong to this collection.

Tanto los paneles con la imagen como los de los caballitos, están montados sobre un fondo hecho con tintas Distress (principalmente mermaid lagoon) y polvos frantage.

The three panels ( the image's and the seahorses's) are placed on a cardstock inked with Distress ( mainly Mermaid lagoon) and Stampedous Frantage Powders.

El "under the sea" es un archivo de la tienda Silhouette, al cual he aplicado polvos de embossing azules de Ranger.

The under the sea sentiment is a file from the Silhouette store in top of which I've applied blue embossing powder from Ranger.

Por último, un charm metálico en forma de ancla para acabar con el diseño.

To finish the design I've glued a metallic anchor.
